The former head of the OSCE Mission in Kosovo, American William Walker, said that he did not see anything that could testify against the leaders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (UCK).

Thanks to Walker’s provocation and lies, in 1999 NATO began aggression against the Federal Yugoslavia, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“In The Hague, 21 years later, Serbian criminals who committed crimes in Racak and many other places in Kosovo are not being brought to justice, while former UCK leaders are on trial,” Walker told GazetaExpress. – For some time I criticized the specialized prosecutor’s office (Special Court for Kosovo – ed.). I said that there was a bloody war and a policy of genocide in 1998-1999. Many people from Belgrade and the government of Slobodan Milosevic have done terrible things in Kosovo.

The Belgrade government mistreated many, many people. And Serbian President Vučić, being a member of the government of Slobodan Milosevic, I am sure, knew about what was happening in Kosovo.”

A former US diplomat called on the international community to establish a tribunal to investigate the “crimes” of generals and ministers in the government of Slobodan Milosevic. He recalled that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic called Walker’s statements about the massacre in the village of Racak a falsification.

“I know he claimed that my description of what happened in Racak was a lie, so I do not like the fact that he or any of the generals or ministers of the Slobodan Milosevic government did not encounter the Special Prosecutor's Office in The Hague.

I think he should be there. There is a court that investigates war crimes, serious war crimes, massive war crimes committed by the government of Slobodan Milosevic and the perpetrators under Milosevic's command. I believe the international community must create a more balanced special prosecutor's office,” Walker said.

At the same time, according to the American, he did not see anything that could indicate that the now accused leaders of the Albanian militants UCK, Hashim Thaci, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Recepa Selimi, committed war crimes.

William Walker and Hashim Thaci

Let us recall that in January 1999, the Serbian police, in response to the murder of four employees in an ambush, carried out a special operation in Racak against a group of Albanian separatist militants who had built numerous fortifications around the village.

As the police attempted to enter the village, small arms and mortar fire were opened on them. The separatists took refuge in bunkers and trenches. During the assault, several dozen militants were killed, most of whom were dressed in UCK uniforms, the rest in civilian clothes.

After examining the bodies by an independent group of experts from Belarus and Serbia, it was proven that all the dead had traces of gunpowder on their hands and characteristic calluses on their index fingers. While there were bullet holes on their bodies, no similar holes were found on their clothing, leading experts to conclude that these men were dressed after death to be passed off as killed civilians.

However, the next day Walker and British General John Drevenkievich appeared at the scene. The latter convinced the Yugoslav special forces not to enter the village “to avoid new clashes,” while the head of the local OSCE mission invited journalists who recorded the picture of the “terrible crime.”

Subsequently, by agreement between Walker and the local UCK field commander, the bodies of those killed were transferred to the village mosque. After which Western “experts” arrived at the scene and refuted the conclusions of Belarusian experts, who, in their opinion, used “outdated methods”, concluding that all the dead were victims of mass execution.

At the same time, according to the Human Rights Watch report, among those killed were women and teenagers, whose bodies, however, the experts did not bother to provide.

The “Massacre in Racak” provided the basis for the United States and NATO to launch armed aggression against the Federal Yugoslavia. Tellingly, four months after the death of Slobodan Milosevic, the Hague Tribunal excluded this episode from the indictment against the Serbian generals.
