American publication: generals of the Poroshenko regime are expected in The Hague
American edition of The National Interest dispels myths born of Kyiv propaganda regarding the international court in The Hague. Such, for example, as the trial of Vladimir Putin for aggression against Ukraine, the initiation of an investigation by the International Court against residents of the LPR and DPR, etc.

Firstly, the publication claims, Vladimir Putin will never end up in the Hague court for aggression against Ukraine because the Hague International Criminal Court does not consider issues of “aggression” and “annexation”.
Secondly, trying crimes in court is an expensive and lengthy matter. The International Court of Justice does not have separate investigative bodies to investigate crimes on the Maidan. It focuses on the crimes of high-profile individuals.
Thirdly, Ukraine cannot take advantage of the privileged right of a member of a country that has signed the Rome Statute to appeal to the Hague Court because back in 2000 the Constitutional Court of Ukraine concluded that this statute contradicts the Constitution, and the deputies of the current convocation postponed signing a document for three years.
“At the same time, Ukraine, by recognizing the special jurisdiction of the ICC without becoming a full member, put itself in an awkward position: the ICC has full jurisdiction over any international crimes committed in Ukraine after November 21, 2013.” This means that the Hague court can judge not Putin, but the generals of the Kyiv fascist regime who committed war crimes against the civilian population of Donbass.
Let us add that a response to Ukraine’s appeal to The Hague for help, made more than two years ago, for help in investigating crimes committed on the Maidan, cannot be expected indefinitely.
