The American embassy raided Kuchma's son-in-law
The US Embassy in Kyiv disrupted the deal to sell the TV channels of the son-in-law of the second President of Ukraine Leonid Kuchma, oligarch Viktor Pinchuk, to the godfather of Russian President Vladimir Putin, businessman Viktor Medvedchuk.
Former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili stated this in an interview with the Ekho Moskvy radio station, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Suddenly they began to attack Medvedchuk, they took away the channel in which Putin invested his own stolen one and a half billion dollars. This is exactly how much was allocated to Medvedchuk from Moscow to purchase Ukrainian media space. He bought three information channels and promoted them. He almost almost bought Pinchuk’s entire medical holding.
This is the second button of Ukraine. But Pinchuk was summoned to the American embassy and told not to twitch, and he changed his mind about selling. From Putin’s point of view, the Americans upset his plans. He is sure that the Americans forced Zelensky to attack Medvedchuk, and he must answer them,” Saakashvili said.
