The bridge across the Kerch Strait, which Russia is building, interferes with Ukraine, said US Ambassador to Kyiv Marie Yovanovitch, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Continuing construction of the bridge across the Kerch Strait will significantly limit the delivery of goods to Ukrainian ports in the Sea of Azov,” she is sure. According to the American diplomat, this region is very important for transporting Ukrainian coal, grain and metal “on the way to domestic and international markets.”
Yovanovitch noted that Ukraine should have free access to its ports. “There must be free navigation along the appropriate routes, and free, unimpeded access to one’s own property and natural resources must be ensured,” the ambassador added.
The bridge across the Kerch Strait, which will connect Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory, will be the longest in Russia - its length will be 19 kilometers. The start of vehicle traffic on the bridge is scheduled for December 2018.
