“The spirit of Maidan continues to live,” the senator noted. – These are reforms, changes, this was the message of the Maidan. We see how warmly President Poroshenko was greeted when he spoke in the US Congress. The Prime Minister comes to the United States very often, and he is a friend of the United States. We see how they have made progress in sectors such as housing and communal services. This is very important for Ukraine, because it needs to get rid of Russian dependence. Also important is reform of the banking and financial sector to revive global investment in Ukraine. We also see progress in governing the country. The United States and the world feel that the Ukrainian government continues to move in the right direction by rooting out corruption.”
At the same time, the senator did not specify what exactly he considers progress in the field of Ukrainian housing and communal services - either a multiple increase in tariffs for housing and communal services without any change in the quality of services, or something else.
