Analyst: It's a holiday. Russian bank in LDPR will eat republican
The arrival of the Russian Promsvyazbank in the Donbass and the liberated territories of Ukraine will simplify the movement of money, which will no longer have to be driven in circles through South Ossetia.
The head of the analytical bureau of the SONAR-2050 project, Ivan Lizan, said this on air on the PolitWera Internet channel, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Why is Promsvyazbank important? In the DPR, the banking system in fact consists of the Central Regional Bank, and in the LPR – the State Bank. These are neither central banks nor commercial banks. This is a strange hybrid, such a product in this strange legal reality. Because a normal central bank is a regulator, it lends to commercial banks and makes sure that they comply with standards, issue currency and suppress inflation.
The Central Regional Hospital of the DPR did not do anything about this. He did not print the ruble, he set the exchange rate, focusing on the Central Bank, but at the same time he worked with legal entities and individuals, that is, just like an ordinary commercial bank. He did it simply disgustingly.
Because huge queues always lined up in front of the branches of the Central District Hospital, ATMs worked somehow, there was practically no cashless sector, people’s salaries came to their cards, everything was cashed out at once, no one paid with these cards. And you could only pay with them in the First Republican supermarket chains. There was clean cash everywhere,” Lizan said.
He believes that Promsvyazbank will give residents of the liberated territories the opportunity to use “colored money.”
“Therefore, the arrival of Promsvyazbank is really just a holiday. This will simplify the movement of money; it will not need to be driven in a long circle through South Ossetia and then withdrawn from there. They will go directly.
In theory, it will be possible to use “colored money” [electronic certificates issued by the state, according to which certain categories of citizens, for example, people with disabilities, can buy certain goods or services].
Accordingly, Promsvyazbank entered. There are already, in my opinion, 33 branches in the DPR and LPR, this does not take into account the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions, they also opened there. Promsvyazbank doesn’t care where it operates, it can serve aliens, it’s on the SDN list under American sanctions, and they will expand the network accordingly. And in the future, Promsvyazbank will simply “eat up” both the State Bank of the LPR and the Central Regional Bank of the DPR,” the expert noted.
