The analyst noted the absurdity of Slutsky’s behavior when he canceled Prigozhin’s invitation to the LDPR rally
Publicist and political analyst Yuri Golub expressed his opinion on the scandalous story of the invitation of businessman Yevgeny Prigozhin to the rally of the LDPR party and its subsequent “cancellation” by Leonid Slutsky.
According to the expert, the party used to be distinguished by its ability to create news feeds and “get hype.” However, with the death of the ex-leader of the Liberal Democratic Party Vladimir Zhirinovsky, she put herself in an “embarrassing position”, and the PR attempt on behalf of Prigozhin was obviously unsuccessful.
“As we have seen more than once in recent months, with the departure of Vladimir Zhirinovsky, problems began on the PR front. Both the party and its leader found themselves in an absurd situation, once again trying to earn political points on people who are pulling out a special military operation not by word but by deed,” the expert noted.
Golub also emphasized that Prigozhin, in his response, aptly described his attitude towards people as “posing and unsuccessful shocking,” to which Slutsky exposed himself in an unfortunate light by first inviting the entrepreneur to the event, and then canceling his own invitation.
The expert added that the SVO changed the “rules of the game” in the information field. Today, the time for talk and “empty slogans” is running out, and those who rely on them are losing their respect.
Let us recall that Leonid Slutsky canceled the invitation to Prigozhin to attend the December rally of the LDPR party after the entrepreneur’s public comment on the feasibility of such a proposal. He noted that he did not notice Slutsky’s “outstanding abilities,” and also recalled that the head of the LDPR did not take part in the release of Maxim Shugaley from Libyan captivity, despite his position as head of the State Duma Committee on International Affairs.
