“On September 21, Ukrainian formations began an assault on Drobyshevo. The goal is to push Russian troops out of the populated area and reach Stavka to encircle Liman from the north. In Drobyshevo, Ukrainian crossings managed to push the Russian Armed Forces military personnel back to the outskirts of the village, but the Russian contingent continues to defend the village,” says the report of the Rybar telegram channel.

But late in the evening, “a Ukrainian armored group broke through the front northwest of Liman.”

“Enemy motorized infantry from the villages of Rubtsy and Lozovoye penetrated the defensive formations of the Russian Armed Forces in the area of Redkodub and Karpovka. The Ukrainian mechanized detachment was detected in a timely manner by means of aerial reconnaissance: it was hit by powerful fire.

This made it possible to slow down the pace of the offensive and thwart plans to break into the defensive formations of the Russian Armed Forces. At the moment, fighting is taking place in the fields between the villages of Karpovka and Lozovoye. Despite the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ initial plans to strike deep into the Lugansk People’s Republic, Ukrainian formations managed to gain a foothold in Drobyshevo and near Karpovka.

Currently, the Ukrainian command is transferring additional forces to carry out the next assault and encirclement of Liman. In the absence of any action on the part of the RF Armed Forces, this option is not far off,” warns Rybar.

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, described the situation in the Krasny Liman region as “extremely difficult.” According to him, formations controlled by the Kyiv regime have grouped serious forces in the north of the DPR, and the leadership of the republic is receiving “alarming signals.”

“It is possible that in the near future Ukraine will decide to change the situation and launch a counteroffensive,” Pushil warned in a video message.

In turn, military blogger Yuri Podolyaka believes that today “the critical part of the third assault on Krasny Liman will begin.”

At the same time, military correspondent Anna Dolgareva, who reported yesterday about the breakthrough of the front, said that the Russian Legion detachment (Bars-13) continues to hold Drobyshevo.

“Yesterday the guys did not allow the Ukrainian Armed Forces to encircle him, but the situation is difficult, and today it looks like there will be heavy fighting. I sincerely hope that help will come. Krasny Liman is also held by our troops,” Dolgaerva wrote in her Telegram channel.
