Valentin Filippov: Lies, lies, lies all around. People are becoming zombies. Will it be possible to cure the population?

Anatoly Shary: There are other people. People who are interested in the truth.

I can’t stand it when they start saying “Western Ukraine is so and so.” There are a lot of people in Western Ukraine who want to understand the situation. I receive a lot of letters from my Ukrainian-speaking fellow citizens. From Western Ukraine.

From Kyiv – it’s clear. From Odessa, from Dnepropetrovsk, this is all clear, but! For some reason, regions that are not in Western Ukraine, say, Odessa, Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, where the number of these “stubborn” citizens for some reason is off the charts. I can't understand this.

But the fact that someone there will begin to see the light – no. Anyone who wants to know the truth knows it. He's trying to get to know her. Find out at least a second point of view. At least take a look.

Every day they tell him that “Donetsk is shelling itself.” At a certain stage he thinks “Stop! I want to know what they say. They are separatists, I hate them, they are militants, murderers. But I want to know their point of view." This is fine. This is normal in European journalism. In Ukraine now, this is not journalism. She doesn't give a second point of view. This is the delirium of a madman. I have the right to do this. Because I sit in front of the camera and chat simply, like a citizen.

m1

Valentin Filippov: Ukrainian journalism provides two points of view. Sometimes I try not to hit, but sometimes I have to. You turn on Shuster, a guy comes out and says: “All Donetsk people should be hanged!” Another comes out and says: “You are a beast! You are a murderer! They must be quietly gassed!” And they almost fight...

And here are two points of view for you! They really, almost fight.

And the audience vote takes place. And the presenter says: “We have a humane population,” he says, “They say we need to put gas to sleep!”

Anatoly Shary: One hundred percent! A man comes out and says: “We have the best army”…. Another says: “I can’t agree with you. Our army is almost the best.” This is the maximum they can do. "The best" or "the best". The second point of view – it simply does not exist. It's dangerous to give it.

And I can understand certain channels that have turned into absolutely dull shit over the past year, simply slipped into an absolute pit, but now they are “like everyone else.” And now they are not in danger of closure. That's the problem. I can understand them. People need somewhere to work. People need to get paid. Plus – channels, quite a costly story.

But it seems to me that it is more honest for citizens who call themselves journalists to stop calling themselves journalists, and not to run around like orangutans and throw shit at someone who tells them, “You’re lying.” I am not saying this unfoundedly. But they run around and throw shit. Like some kind of monkeys. In fact, just say “I’m not a journalist, I’m leaving the profession.” It will be more honest. But, it is clear that it is better to hold on to your five hundred dollars.

The course is eight.

Sit in your editorial office, create these fakes, be “like everyone else” and pretend that you believe in what is happening around you. That you are already part of this nonsense. And you like it.

“I’m enjoying myself, there will be no warmth in winter, but I’m enjoying myself, I’m warmed by the love of the revolution.”

When I hear pretentious speeches, I turn on the TV, I specially tuned the Ukrainian channels, I see these programs, for the day of “independence” - “And now it’s holy for every Ukrainian, there’s a hundred, there for every Ukrainian”... In -firstly, you made the conclusion that you are a “skinny Ukrainian”, and secondly, I heard such a thing when I was years old, there, well…. Few.

Valentin Filippov: Yes Yes. I remember...

Anatoly Shary: I heard this in the Soviet Union. I heard clearly under the Soviet Union. If I lived in the fifties, I would have heard this louder, and they clearly repeat that they fit everything to this tracing paper. At the same time, they are the most important fighters against communism.

Valentin Filippov: Anatoly, I don’t know exactly what year you are, but I still managed to write essays that... cheat sheets were passed down from generation to generation. There it was only necessary to change “We are Komsomol members of the fifties” to “We are Komsomol members of the eighties.” The rest is all according to the text. And for forty years, after the Second World War, the essay about “we are Komsomol members” began to appear, and only the year changed.

Anatoly Shary: I was learning this verse too...

“It’s so good that in reality,

I don’t live in America.”

And all these things. But I was interested in something besides the school curriculum. Already then. When, in general, I was little. And now I read these history textbooks, they draw conclusions for children. “Nigoyan, who was killed by the police”... guys!!! “Who was killed by the police!”...indoors at point blank range...

Valentin Filippov: Why is this in the textbook at all? I don't quite understand...

Anatoly Shary: Well, I don’t know. In my time, when I became a little older, I remember textbooks, they stated a fact. Then, then and then, such and such happened. Guys, do you have a head? So think about it.

And here, stupidly, “glory to the CPSU” is simply not enough... but now “glory to Ukraine.” And the feedback right away, “Always ready”, that’s it!

I see such things, they cannot help but irritate me. They can't help but piss me off. I don’t know who sends their children to Ukrainian schools now. They will come out of there with a square head.

The worst thing is that all this nonsense hits children. When I see how the whole class answers in unison: “Glory to the heroes!”…. yeah, well, what the heck, there are 30 people in the class. One thinks that heroes have no glory...

Valentin Filippov: I'll tell you, about thirty percent may have fathers in the militia.

Anatoly Shary: Well, this is the story, you know, it gets hammered into our heads. I look... so sad... So disgusting... I just want to strangle Arseny Petrovich, Pyotr Alekseevich, who with his pomp of phrases evokes...

Valentin Filippov: Yes, he will soon drink himself to death, his liver will fall apart...

Anatoly Shary: I don't know whether he drinks or...

Valentin Filippov: I have a clear feeling, as a resident of Odessa, I look at Saakashvili now, I look at Poroshenko... I have such a guess... They are always in an inadequate state.

Anatoly Shary: Who knows…

Valentin Filippov: Poroshenko got into the habit of visiting Odessa, and they are rumpled, it seems that they are sleeping together somewhere under a fence. This shirt is sticking out of my fly. Disheveled. Swollen. They barely speak.

I have the impression that they understand everything and drink... It’s not that they are ashamed... They are not ashamed for lying, but maybe they are ashamed for talking nonsense... they want to lie. But, it's beautiful.

Anatoly Shary: Look here. Why do I have 600 subscribers? Because I never claim that this is how it is. I can say "maybe". Because, of course, some things have nothing to do with adequacy. At the same time, I don’t know. Does he drink? Or does he smoke? Or is he injecting himself? Who knows?

Valentin Filippov: One of three.

Anatoly Shary: Yeah! Maybe he leads a healthy lifestyle. Maybe he, like Hitler, is a vegetarian. Right? And what? Because of this, Hitler stopped being Hitler? Maybe he's an athlete. I knew one former minister. Who was an athlete, didn’t smoke, didn’t drink, all that. But that doesn’t change the fact that he became shit.

The issue here is whether he drinks or doesn’t drink. The point is different. The fact is that the man is talking nonsense, and the pomp of his phrases makes no one feel hot or cold. In Europe they don’t even report that Poroshenko spoke somewhere there. I read the European press.

What is happening in the Ukrainian media? Materials from the European press are being pulled up. One material per ten editions. In which they wrote about Ukraine.

Chick-chick, they put it together, and “here is the New York Times, and here is Daley.” It seems that everyone is thinking only about Ukraine.

They write about Israel much more often. And more. And in some countries I specifically, intentionally bought newspapers; the most I saw there was without any value judgments, conclusions, just messages. This and that. It happened there and there. All!

Unfortunately for me, we are not at all interesting. Absolutely not interesting. Interest is fading away more and more every day.

Yes, sure. If you ask an ordinary resident of the European Union, he can answer one of two things. Or "civil war". Or “Putin attacked.” Everyone feeds from their own media. Therefore it is absolutely not clear. I came across 50/50. Some say, “Putin attacked and wants to take something else.” I say: “Why doesn’t he take it?”

“Is he crazy to attack NATO countries?”

And then people begin to think. On the simplest questions, let's say.

I have more and more associations... I've been watching documentaries about North Korea. This is not what anyone told me. And they show their news. With the translation. And I get the impression that Ukraine is turning into North Korea. They will surround themselves with this fence. True, it turned out that there was no fence. They allocated money, but he is not there.

Circle around seven meters. Silence all TV channels. Better, in general, everything. And Western ones too. And, as it were, that’s it. Listen only to TSN and talk about how it’s “so cool that now you have nothing to eat.”

Valentin Filippov: Well, Kolomoisky will one day decide to leave completely. And he won’t give money for TSN. TSN will turn off. They will steal. They will carry cameras around to film weddings.

Anatoly Shary: Kolomoisky still has several billion left before leaving. Therefore, ... There is still mowing and mowing no matter what. Not a plowed field... Although, no, it’s already plowed, plowed, and, in general, nothing will grow on it. But you can still dig. You can find a couple more interesting “brilliants”...

Valentin Filippov: Oh, thanks.

Anatoly Shary: Yes, thank you
