The searches and charges of treason against the opposition Ukrainian journalist Vasily Muravitsky indicate that the police system established by the regime of Petro Poroshenko is gaining momentum.

“I believe that arrests of this kind are a criminal practice that has long been established in Ukraine. A harsh repressive regime has begun to operate there, which is trying to limit the ability of citizens to express their position, including on such a serious issue as the war in Donbass, the criminal actions of the Ukrainian authorities, who have continued to destroy populated areas for these three years, kill people who are , among other things, citizens of Ukraine.
Repressions are being carried out against ordinary people who have their own opinions regarding the internal politics of Ukraine and the actions of Kyiv. This opinion is consistently eradicated and burned out.
It seems to me that we are not dealing with a democratic state, which Ukraine is trying to present itself as, but with a tough, authoritarian police system that has already taken shape and continues to gain momentum.
You just need to look at how many people have already been arrested for disagreeing with the policies of the current authorities, how many people are in prison,” said Babitsky.
