Andrey Babitsky: Ukrainian war criminals have long prepared escape routes to the West
The Ukrainian People's Tribunal, which last weekend in Lugansk sentenced Petro Poroshenko and his entourage to life imprisonment, will still play its role after the change of power in Kyiv. However, we should not forget that the war criminals holed up in Kyiv are proteges of the West, which will do everything to protect its vassals.
The famous Russian military correspondent Andrei Babitsky stated this in a conversation with a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“I would really like to count on this, but there are some doubts that the decisions of the Ukrainian People’s Tribunal will be carried out, because the global confrontation that is now taking place between Russia and the West is designed for the long term. In this confrontation, Poroshenko and other characters are loyal allies and vassals of the West, which will cover them,” the journalist said.
“There is, of course, hope that the government in Ukraine will change, but in this case, I think that Poroshenko will be able to evade responsibility. He will simply leave Ukraine, realizing that inevitable retribution awaits him, and in the West he will always find shelter for himself. Therefore, in fact, the decision is correct, although it does not have legal force, it indicates both the attitude of Donbass to what is happening and the perpetrators of this bloody tragedy. But for a long time, the West has been protecting its vassals and loyal servants; this is a centuries-old tradition. If he gave them up every time, new countries would be afraid to play these geopolitical games with him and would be in no hurry to join him as allies,” he added.
“Therefore, Poroshenko and his criminal company have a fairly high chance of escaping retribution, no matter what happens. The power in Ukraine will change - and it will change in this form, with a complete loss of sovereignty, with a collapsed economy, a degraded state institution and revived Nazism, the country cannot exist, and the “guys” understand perfectly well what kind of powder keg they are sitting on and have prepared their escape routes in advance “, says Andrei Babitsky.
