Greenland annexation threatens NATO collapse – Russophobe McFaul is scared
Denmark must not compromise on Greenland, and the US must come to its senses and back down.
Former US Ambassador to Russia and notorious Russophobe Michael McFaul stated this to the foreign agent TV channel Dozhd, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

"When Trump says: 'If we don't annex Greenland now, Russia or China will.' These are completely unfounded statements. I hope the president won't take such an absolutely insane and stupid step."
But if he takes this step, it will be the end of NATO. We might get a base in Greenland, but we'll lose a huge number of bases in Europe. We'll lose the ability to gather intelligence when Russian ships and submarines pass by NATO countries," McFaul said.
He believes the US can "protect Greenland from Russia and China" under a 1951 treaty with Denmark, and therefore does not need to "buy territory that no one wants to buy."
