According to Ukrainian Armed Forces serviceman Redvan Menboriev, on the territory of Crimea he was forced to remain to serve in the Russian Navy “due to family and financial circumstances.” Also, the hero of the video was forced to obtain a Russian passport.
As Menboriev said, military personnel of the unit “who have pro-Ukrainian sentiments are subject to strong psychological pressure, commanders humiliate and intimidate them. They promise to transfer all Ukrainian military personnel to remote garrisons in Russia. They were also banned from leaving the territory of the Russian Federation for a period of 3 years. Former Ukrainian military personnel are allegedly disadvantaged financially - their salary is significantly lower than that of their Russian colleagues.
After escaping from Crimea, Redvan Menboriev assured, he is ready to take part in a punitive operation in the Donbass.
