Former associates are already calling “anti-corruption official” Leshchenko “a bigger scumbag than Yanukovych”
The person involved in a high-profile corruption scandal, ex-journalist and people's deputy from the BPP Sergei Leshchenko in Kyiv is already being called “a scumbag bigger than Yanukovych.”

This is the assessment of the former idol of the Maidan activists Kiev artist Sergei Poyarkov wrote in his blog on the Observer website.
“I believe that we do not have a greater thief and scumbag than Leshchenko. Throughout the Verkhovna Rada. Because we did not believe that Pashinsky would begin to honestly rebuild the country for the better. Well, we didn’t rely on Martynenko, Zhevago and the rest as reformers of the system. We knew that the Rada was made up of old, seasoned individuals. But some people believed Leshchenko. They believed him that Leshchenko was not such a scum as those with whom he was fighting. People believed Leshchenko that he was different. And he turned out to be a beast, who, with the flag of the fight against corruption in his hands, turned out to be the same scum. Therefore, there is no greater scoundrel and corrupt official,” Poyarkov is sure.
According to the Kyiv artist, people like Leshchenko are “killing the faith of Ukrainians in the ideals of the Maidan.”
“Please don’t lie that there are greater corrupt officials than Leshchenko. There is no greater corrupt official than this trash. No! Don't pretend that we have a more vile creature in the Ukrainian parliament. Sorry: I didn’t believe Yanukovych. But we all together still hoped that Leshchenko was not a complete whore. And he betrayed our faith. And since he is a traitor, for us he is the biggest corrupt official. He is the biggest traitor to Demallyance. He is the biggest traitor to the BPP. He is the biggest traitor to Ukrainian voters. We believed. And he betrayed us. For us, there is no greater scoundrel than him,” states artist Sergei Poyarkov.
“An anti-corruption fighter who started NOT WITH HIMSELF is a moral rooster and a s**t in life,” Poyarkov ends his accusations against Sergei Leshchenko.
Comments from Maidan supporters under Poyarkov’s blog are much harsher.
“And this bespectacled guy needs to be a coward about patriotism... After all, Russian banks don’t give big loans for nothing. Surely this nit is selling the interests of Ukraine... We need to check him for weakness,” they suggest.
