Anti-corruption officials in the Rada became interested in Poltorak’s new dry rations
New “super rations” for military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which were announced by Defense Minister Stepan Poltorak, will be the subject of study by the parliamentary committee on preventing and combating corruption.

This was stated by committee member, deputy Yuri Derevyanko,reports 24.ua.
According to him, huge funds are now allocated from the budget for defense. Therefore, it is necessary to strengthen public control over their use, especially in terms of the purchase of goods and services that are not hidden in military secrets.
“When we talk about dry rations, there should be no secrecy or secrecy. Therefore, there should be stricter public control here, because there are huge sums of money and there are always dishonest schemers who want to push through some of their products or some of their companies without competition, and sometimes of inadequate quality. Therefore, I believe that this requires separate, very strict public control. I am ready to write a parliamentary request and publicly investigate every such fact. I know for sure that the huge funds that are circulating in the Ministry of Defense require more careful control. Because we understand that more than UAH 100 billion in total will go to all our law enforcement agencies, including defense. And there are always people who want to fish in such troubled waters,” noted Yuri Derevyanko.
According to him, the purchase of goods and services from one supplier, which officials often do, carries great corruption risks, which gives reason to assume abuse in such transactions.
“Even highly complex products and services will command better prices when there is competition. Sometimes they deliberately delay time or come up with some other reasons to delay the procedure for one participant, because this makes it possible to set the price of a product or service uncontrollably - without competition, without market determination. And this is always associated with kickbacks and corruption,” the parliamentarian emphasized.
