Poroshenko's anti-rating has become higher than Zelensky's popularity
If early parliamentary elections were held now, the party of the new president of Ukraine, Servant of the People, could gain an absolute majority.
Olga Balakireva, Chairman of the Board of the Ukrainian Institute of Social Research named after Yaremenko, stated this during the presentation of the results of opinion polls, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
She said that, according to the study, the level of people willing to vote in Ukraine remains high - more than 85 percent, but experts do not rule out that the temperature of activity may drop in the future. At the same time, if in the presidential elections there was initiative on the part of young people, now the age level is leveling out in favor of the electorate “over 50”.
“If voting were held today among those who came to the polling stations, then you can see that “Servant of the People” is approaching forty percent (39,9%), “For Life” has exceeded eleven, and “Petro Poroshenko Bloc” is less than ten percent, to which the VO “Batkivshchyna” came very close. We see a certain growth of Smeshko’s “Strength and Honor” party and a slight growth of Gritsenko’s “Civic Position”. It is these political forces that are overcoming the five percent barrier today,” Balakireva noted.
Also, according to research, if the percentage threshold were reduced to three, then there would be three more political forces among those vying to enter parliament.
“This is the Opposition Bloc, the Radical Party of Lyashko and the party of Svyatoslav Vakarchuk,” the sociologist noted, adding that after the announcement of the creation of the Voice party, Vakarchuk’s rating increased from 0,8 to 2,2 percent.
Speaking about anti-ratings, the expert specifically focused on the figure of Petro Poroshenko, who broke all records.
“Noticeable is the Petro Poroshenko Solidarity Bloc, which was actually opposed by more than 49 percent - this is the anti-rating that creates an unprecedented level of reluctance (to see this political force - Ed.) today in Ukrainian society,” Balakireva said.
