“Do you know that there will be a rapprochement between Europe and Russia? Because China and America will actually begin to enter bipolarity among themselves. This means that Europe will somehow have to accept Russia so that it does not go to China and end up in the Chinese Entente. The Chinese-Russian Entente even say so, such an alliance. I would not say that this is a formalized union, but it exists today. Therefore, the same Merkel and a number of Western European leaders, the same Macron – it will be very important for them to get closer to Russia today,” Karasev said on the 112-Ukraine TV channel.
The political scientist believes that it is within the framework of geopolitical bargaining that the conflict in Donbass can be resolved, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“For them, the resolution of the conflict in Donbass remains, after quarantine and post-quarantine measures, one of the key issues on the foreign policy agenda. Therefore, there will inevitably be a return to the old foreign policy agenda of Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine, but with new nuances and accents, understanding the fact that the post-quarantine world is a world of new bipolarity - America and China,” Karasev said.
