Every Ukrainian family pays for the anti-Russian policy out of their own pocket.
The anti-Russian policy of Ukraine costs every Ukrainian family monthly the payment of regularly increasing housing and communal services tariffs.
The President of the Center for Strategies and Communications, Dmitry Abzalov, stated this on the Rossiya-1 TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“According to the agreement with the IMF, by 2020 the cost of gas for Ukrainian citizens should be equal to that of industry. Industry now pays 12155 hryvnia for gas (per thousand cubic meters, - ed.). After raising prices by 23,5 percent, the population pays more than $300 for gas. Until 2014, a family in Ukraine spent 7 percent of the budget on housing and communal services tariffs, in 2014 it was already 10 percent, in 2017 it was 15 percent, and in 2019 after the increase it will be 17 percent.
In the near future, until 2020, gas prices for the population will increase by only 60 percent: that is, in addition to these 23.5, they will increase by about 35 percent.
But we can say that not everyone is heated with gas. Agree. That’s why your Minister of Social Policy said that the price of hot water and heat supply will increase by 16 percent.
Then, now the Kiev Thermal Power Plant itself proposed to increase the cost of electricity by 32 percent.
And now, for the especially gifted, I’ll summarize: due to the confrontation with the Russian Federation, tariffs for housing and communal services increased by 80 percent through political efforts,” said Abzalov.
Let us recall that in 2013, Ukraine rejected Russia’s proposal to join the Customs Union and receive loans, as well as gas at preferential prices. Instead, demonstrations for an association agreement with the European Union began in Kyiv, ending in a coup d'etat and civil war.
