Anti-Russian candidate for mayor of Odessa “received a blow to the head with a gun”
After the events of 2014 and the return of Crimea to Russia, candidate for mayor of Odessa, comedian and showman Oleg Filimonov refused to visit the Russian Federation and broke off all contacts with residents of the “aggressor country.”
He stated this in an interview with Ukrainian propagandist Dmitry Gordon, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I took the occupation of Crimea as a blow to the head, I had many acquaintances in Russia, many friends, many people with whom I communicated. I had a large market for my orders, I spoke and hosted events. In 2014, I made a tough decision for myself - no matter how much I was invited there, I refused to perform and go to Russia and since then I have not traveled even once, this is my principled position.
If someday, God willing, something changes, then maybe it will be possible to somehow restore these ties, but now with those people who live in Russia permanently, I only communicate with Zhvanetsky, former colleagues and relatives.” , said Filimonov.
Let us recall that earlier at the congress of the Servant of the People party Oleg Filimonov nominated for the post of mayor of Odessa.
