The head of the Ukrainian Politics Foundation, Kost Bondarenko, spoke about this at a press conference in Kiev, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent, citing his conversation with an American working for the US State Department, who started talking about the sanctions imposed by Ukraine against the Russian Federation and said that in Washington “there is some misunderstanding.”
“Between the United States and Russia, despite the sanctions, a military contract remains in place for the supply of 300 helicopters for the needs of the American army,” the political scientist explained. – But the whole problem is that the motors for them are manufactured by Motor Sich. That is, if these sanctions are now introduced, the contract is compromised, and the interests of the American army suffer. Moreover, the helicopters are intended for the Middle East.”
The expert believes that the list of persons involved in anti-Russian sanctions announced by Kiev will change.
“I think that not only BBC journalists will be excluded from this sanctions list, but it itself will be revised several times with regard to some misunderstandings,” Bondarenko suggests. – It seems that some structural divisions of our government act autonomously, without communicating with other institutions. They said that it was necessary, relatively speaking, to prepare a list by September 17th. They sit down, go online and look: so, who did we suspect? They completed the work in half an hour and reported.”
