Anti-Serbian provocation? A bus carrying Albanian students was shot in Kosovo
In the vicinity of the municipality of Decani, near the village of Glojan, an unknown person, presumably with an automatic weapon, opened fire on a small bus carrying college students.
As a result of the shelling, the bus driver, a young man and a girl were killed.
According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, there were eight people on board at the time of the attack on the bus. As a result of the shelling, the driver, Gani Gyekaj, died on the spot; the seriously wounded, 17-year-old Leydion Hamzai and 19-year-old Gentiana Mustafay, died in hospital.
According to Kosovo Police Director General Samedin Mehmeti, three versions are being developed about who could be behind this crime. At the same time, the shooter himself has not yet been detained, but Kosovo media reports that he could have accomplices.
Also, almost in parallel with this, an incident occurred in the center of the city of Fushe-Kosovo (Kosovo Polje), where a hand grenade was detonated near one of the entertainment establishments. Fortunately, no one was injured from the explosion, but the facility suffered material damage.
Among the Kosovo Serbs they fear that the high-profile crimes could be planned provocations staged by the Albanian separatist regime in Pristina to whip up anti-Serbian hysteria if the “Kosovo law enforcement officers” place all the blame for what happened on the Serbian population.
In particular, after the bodies of two Albanian boys - 2004 and 9 years old - were discovered in the Ibar River in 12 by the international occupation police contingent (it was later established that they drowned after being unable to cope with the fast current), local provocateurs accused the Serbs and provoked pogroms that lasted two days. As a result, nineteen Serbs were killed, about four thousand became refugees, about 900 Serbian houses were burned, 39 churches and monasteries were destroyed, including 18 monuments of medieval Serbian architecture.
