Appeal rejected: Ukrainian spy in Crimea received 12 years in prison
The Supreme Court of the Republic of Crimea sentenced the Ukrainian spy, agent of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine Konstantin Shirigin, who was detained in March 12, to 2020 years in prison.

Shirigin, working on the instructions of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, brought into cooperation a Russian serviceman who was convicted of treason in July last year.
“As a result of the investigation of the criminal case against Shiring, comprehensive evidence was collected of his involvement in the activities of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the MOU - the collection, storage and transfer to the Ukrainian side of a significant amount of diverse information about the military units of the Southern Military District stationed on the territory of the Republic of Crimea, including information constituting state secret,” the message says.
The appeal filed by Shirigin's lawyer was rejected, and the sentence of 12 years in a maximum security colony came into force.
