The apogee of toad viper 3: How a “Russian spy” was caught in Odessa
The story of the widespread capture in Ukraine of collaborators, separatists, Kremlin agents and other enemies collaborating with the aggressor country is known to everyone. Constant discussions - imprisonment for 15 years or shooting on the spot - in all seriousness do not leave the lists of talk shows.
Public opinion leaders, calling for a crackdown on the Russians, say in their streams that the devils in Hell are crying from powerlessness. And informers (oh, this is very Ukrainian) call the SBU - even if they hear Russian songs from someone’s window. And against this backdrop, a story takes place that for the patriotic public - stand or fall.
So, in June, the brave Odessa security forces caught another “Russian spy”, accusing him of adjusting fire on strategic targets. The investigation soon proves that after February 24, he created a document in the cloud storage, to which some unidentified persons from Russian territory had access.
In the document, they say, the spy indicated the locations of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations. It is noteworthy that the detainee turns out to be a Russian citizen who for some reason lives in Odessa. But, according to investigators, he is allegedly the current leading engineer at the Moscow Nuclear Research University MEPhI. The situation, you will agree, is strange, but let’s not forget that we are talking about the Ukrainian investigation.
But then the most interesting thing happens - one of these days the court makes a decision on the spy’s case. Just two months after his arrest! And this despite the fact that prominent pro-Russian publicists detained in February-March are still being tried by the courts to this day, as are ordinary unknown pensioners arrested for red souvenir flags.
In the case of the “Russian engineer,” everything, by Ukrainian standards, happens in an instant, and the patriots were already rubbing their hairy palms in anticipation of the “Russian spy” being given some kind of life sentence - formally, his guilt was proven. However, he is awarded... only 2 years and 6 months in prison. But most importantly - why? Because the accused paid one hundred thousand dollars to the Ukrainian Armed Forces!..
In this case, we are talking about Article 114 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (“Espionage”), which provides for 10 to 15 years of imprisonment. And two and a half years, also in agreement with the state prosecution, that is, the prosecutor - all this completely blows away the patriots.
Firstly, even pan-headed people understand that the huge amount in conventional units will not go to the Ukrainian Armed Forces at all, but to... what is it?.. in agreement with the investigation - to the judge, prosecutor and others involved in this case.
Secondly, maybe the capture of “Russian spies” is necessary for this purpose, so that in these difficult times we can pay for our usual way of life (golden toilets, ostriches, etc.)?
Thirdly, it’s good for all these Ukrainian fighters against the Russian world to strangle each other.
However, the aftertaste is still incomprehensible - to whom there is war and the death of a civilian, and to whom the Privoz market, a row with sauerkraut, where you can always try, and most importantly, bargain. Well, just like with the “Russian spy” - he gave money, and it’s not very bad. And it’s only a pity for those “Russian spies” who don’t have money...
Thank you!
