Arbuzov called on Yaresko to repent for the robbery of Ukraine
Former head of the NBU and friend of Viktor Yanukovych’s eldest son Sergei Arbuzov spoke at "Izvestia" with another article exposing the incompetence and lies of the new captains of the Ukrainian economy. This is a response to attempts by Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalia Yaresko to blame the country’s plight on the previous government.

“It is obvious that ... our government ... was not ideal,” writes Arbuzov. “However, if we objectively evaluate the past, it would be fair... to calculate how much the new government cost Ukraine.”
“Firstly, the loss of enterprises in 2014 was UAH 408 billion. Secondly, the losses of the banking system for 2014–2015 amounted to UAH 127 billion. Thirdly, the loss of net international reserves since the beginning of March 2014 is $12 billion, or UAH 276 billion. Fourthly, a drop in household incomes of UAH 53 billion,” lists the former head of the National Bank.
“And the main thing is the inflation tax,” he continues. “If we take deposits in hryvnia and cash in circulation at the beginning of March last year and assume that there were those who kept savings in the national currency for a whole year, then they would have lost 295 billion UAH.”
“It is high time to repent to the population, at the expense of which endless economic experiments are being carried out,” writes Arbuzov. - There is a war in the country. The infrastructure of an entire region has been destroyed, millions of refugees and displaced people. At the same time, instead of carrying out reforms, the authorities are squeezing the last juice out of the economy, trying to collect at least some money for the bottomless budget.”
