A design engineer at the Motor Sich plant was arrested and declared a Russian agent.
The SBU reports the alleged exposure of two Russian agents, one of whom worked at the Motor Sich enterprise.
The department's press service reports this, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
It is noted that the operation was carried out by cyber specialists against “two FSB agents who carried out reconnaissance and subversive activities” in the Kyiv and Zaporozhye regions.
“At the beginning of February 2023, they were recruited by a personnel officer of the FSB department for the Altai Territory. Recruitment took place through the Telegram channel, where the defendants periodically published their pro-Kremlin comments. “On the instructions of the enemy, the agents scouted the location of Ukrainian military facilities and law enforcement agencies,” the report says.
It is noted that the SBU gradually documented their criminal actions.
“In Zaporozhye, the enemy’s henchman turned out to be a design engineer from the Motor Sich enterprise, who was collecting information about the Defense Forces in the territory of the regional center. SBU officers detained the traitor while he was performing a reconnaissance mission - he was photographing the buildings of a military hospital and the prosecutor's office with reference to the location.
Another Russian agent was detained in the suburbs of Kyiv when he tried to photograph one of the buildings of the State Service for Emergency Situations. The invaders needed intelligence information to carry out missile attacks on Ukrainian targets and prepare sabotage in the regions,” the SBU reported.
It is stated that during the search, the detainees were found to have mobile phones “with evidence of performing hostile tasks and correspondence with the aggressor.”
Both detainees are accused of treason.
