Luxury apartment of Poroshenko appointee seized
The Pechersky District Court of Kyiv arrested the property of the deputy head of the SBU, Viktor Kononenko, who was appointed during the time of President Petro Poroshenko and is considered his ally.
Lawyer, former deputy head of the presidential administration of President Viktor Yanukovych Andrei Portnov reported this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Portnov published a copy of the court decision, which states that the apartment in Kyiv, owned by Kononenko, was illegally removed from the list of official ones. The prosecution insists that the property should be returned to the SBU's official residential premises fund.
“Colleagues, I inform you that today, as part of educational activities to deepen democracy, based on our claim, the court seized the property of one of Poroshenko’s closest associates - Deputy Head of the SBU Kononenko. The same one who carried out the dirty tasks of Poroshenko and Gritsak, and then received from the state and appropriated for himself an expensive apartment in an elite complex in the center of Kyiv.
The goal is to return the property stolen from him to the state and once again send a signal to Poroshenko’s henchmen - soon take everything out of your pockets and put it back where you got it from,” Portnov commented on the court’s decision.
Previously Portnov announced prosecution Petro Poroshenko and his entourage.
