Ukrainian police general arrested for bribery released on bail
The head of the Security Police Department of the National Police of Ukraine, General Sergei Budnik, whose arrest was previously reported by PolitNavigator, was released on bail from the Lukyanovsky detention center.

This was stated by the press secretary of the Deputy Minister of Justice Yuri Maslak, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“He left the pre-trial detention center today at 15.10,” he noted.
The possibility of Budnik's release from custody subject to the payment of bail in the amount of UAH 128 thousand was provided for by today's decision of the Pechersky District Court of Kyiv.
Budnik and the intermediary were detained on suspicion of taking a bribe on August 22. In addition to official payments for physical security, he allegedly demanded more than 80 thousand monthly.
On August 23, the detainee was officially informed of the suspicion. •On August 28, he was sentenced to arrest with the possibility of release on bail.
