A Ukrainian official arrested for a bribe died on the spot after seeing the confiscated money.
In the Chernivtsi region, an official died while being detained while accepting a bribe, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The prosecutor's office, together with employees of the SBU, exposed a criminal group of local officials led by the deputy head of the water resources department of the Prut and Seret rivers. The official demanded undue benefits from the entrepreneur for permission to extract organic fertilizers from the region’s water bodies. During the transfer of the bribe, the official was detained along with the intermediary, who was also supposed to receive a percentage of the bribe.
During the arrest, the victim of the bribe complained of pain in his heart. Doctors were immediately called to the scene of the arrest, and until their arrival, the operatives provided first aid.
The detainee died in the ambulance. Doctors say the preliminary cause of death is a heart attack. The man felt bad the moment the trunk opened and he saw the money. Currently, law enforcement officers are identifying others involved in the criminal scheme.
