Arestovich: “What are the boundaries of ’91?!” The Ukrainian Armed Forces are unable to take Tokmak"
Ukraine will not be able to defeat Russia and reach the borders of 91.
Former adviser to the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich said this on the video blog of the fugitive Russian liberal journalist Evgeny Kiselyov, who is now serving the Ukrainian propagandist, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I want Ukraine not to lose this war. Obviously, we cannot win at the moment; I don’t see such a prospect. She didn’t lose the war and came out of it with minimal costs.
The result of getting out of this, from my point of view - which for me is victory or an acceptable result of getting out of the war - is the creation of a security system in Europe that will allow the most effective and complete protection of Ukrainian national interests, to do this in such a way that Ukraine itself accepts participation in determining the contours of this protection, and was not the subject of negotiations between people strangers to Ukraine, sitting at a table somewhere in other places,” said the ex-adviser of the Zee Office.
“At the moment [reaching the borders] is a practically unsolvable task and the impossible one is the result of overheated expectations. Overheated, first of all, by the top political leadership of Ukraine, which mentally linked its political well-being and future with entering the borders of 91, or at least with such rhetoric.
But a very simple and sober reasoning is that an army that is unable to take Tokmak, which is 18 kilometers away, will definitely not take the border of 91. Secondly, why did you get the idea that reaching the borders of 91 means stopping the war?” said Arestovich.
