Arestovich on US arms supplies: This is not military assistance, but powdering
The United States is providing Ukraine with only symbolic assistance, which will not help Kyiv radically change the situation at the front.
Aleksey Arestovich, a former adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on air on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, the ruling Democrats in the United States need arms supplies to Ukraine in order to strengthen their internal positions on the eve of the congressional elections.

But these are all very demonstrative actions, because real military support - well, a simple figure - 70 thousand tons of ammunition were fired in the ATO zone over seven years. They blew up 200 thousand (tons) of ammunition in warehouses under Poroshenko. For 24 years of war, it took off into the air...
The Americans donated perhaps several hundred tons of ammunition and weapons. What is this actually about?.. It’s a drop in the ocean. From a military point of view, this is not support, this is powdering... This is an information operation with elements of real support.
Not to say that it doesn’t exist at all - 700 Javellins are still nice, but these are elements, this is not military support. So that the Democrats will be the first to show the Republicans: “See, you reproached us that we are afraid to give weapons, Obama did not give weapons to Ukraine, but we did.”
They have midterm elections in November in the States. If they do not support Ukraine at least for appearances, the Republicans will demolish them, there will be nothing left of them,” Arestovich said.
