Arestovich is discouraged: “Iranian drones are changing the rules of the game”
Russia is creating conditions for launching a counter-offensive and oversaturating Ukrainian air defense for missile strikes.
Advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich said this on the Internet blog of the fugitive Russian liberal Mark Feigin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, the Russian Federation is using a whole range of means of pressure on Ukraine.
“They use the following formula: aggravate the economic crisis in Europe by working with gas prices, flood Europe with a wave of refugees through the Ukrainian blackout, stabilize the front in the offensive areas of the Ukrainian Armed Forces thanks to a large number of mobilized people, stop the Ukrainian Armed Forces, oversaturate our capabilities, reduce them because they are limited. And create conditions for a possible transition to a counteroffensive in some areas,” the official said.
“Cheap Iranian weapons that have become game-changing weapons, they change the rules not because of quality, but because of quantity. In fact, the main task of Iranian drones is to oversaturate our air defense system, force us to shoot precious missiles at cheap drones, and ideally create conditions for a new use, more successful, of cruise missiles, ballistic missiles and, possibly, aviation again if our air defense goes down "- said Arestovich.
