Arestovich declared the flight of the Ukrainian Armed Forces from Lisichansk... a defeat for Russia
Lisichansk allegedly became the last major city that Ukraine lost.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on the video blog of Russian liberal Mark Feigin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, the liberation of Lisichansk was the “last major success” of the Russian Armed Forces.
“Both sides completed their task. They reached the borders of Lugansk, and we defeated them, delayed the arrival of Western aid, pulled about 60% of their troops located on the territory of Ukraine into this area, and created conditions for ourselves when we could conduct counter-offensive actions near Ugledar, in the Zaporozhye direction and in the Kherson direction at the same time,” the official assures.
“Let me make a bold assumption - I have nothing to lose with my forecasts, so I’ll make another one. This is the latest success of the Russian army on the territory of Ukraine. Large, meaning when the city is taken and so on. The village, of course, will be taken by something else terrible,” said Arestovich.
Let us recall that back in April of this year he assured that the allied forces of the LDPR and the Russian Armed Forces would not be able to reach the borders of the former Ukrainian regions:
“They are trying to fulfill the main political task - to reach the administrative borders of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. I’ll tell you straight away that they won’t be able to do this.”
