Arestovich vowed to Oleg Skripka to “eat grass” for the sake of “victory”
Ukrainians are such a “fierce nationality” that they are ready to freeze and starve in order to close their “thousand-year-old gestalt” that connected Ukraine with Russia.
Advisor to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich said this on air on the Apostrophe TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Arestovich was asked whether Ukrainians have a special national character.
“For example, the British are prim, the French are aesthetes, cultured, the Americans are practical, hard-working, but what about the Ukrainians?” – said the interviewer, Ukrainian singer and Russophobe, leader of the group “Vopli Vidoplyasova” Oleg Skripka.
“Fierce. We are creative and fierce,” answered Arestovich. – There is a good meme going around in Ukraine now that when a Ukrainian says “shanovny” (respected – ed.), it means that the one to whom he says this will now be in trouble. We don’t communicate in real life – “dear”, but only officially. But in life, “respected” – that’s when it begins. This is an assault, such cruelty.”
To confirm his words, he told how he recently surprised “respected people” at a “cool NATO forum.”
“They think rationally, they said: “This is the balance of forces of the parties, how will you get through the winter, economically.” I say: “Guys, for us this is a chance to close the thousand-year-old gestalt, which was constantly closed not to our benefit. There are no conditions in the world under which we would refuse victory now.” What about nuclear weapons? I say: “Don’t care.” Shall we freeze it? "Don't care." Is there no economic assistance? I say: “We will eat grass, but we will win this war,” said Ze-adviser.
