Arestovich: “We are rubbing our hands and hoping to beat the terrible Russians in the war”
Russia may launch an attack on Ukraine by the end of December this year, and this is not the usual “Putin will attack”, but a real story.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on air on the UkrLife Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, at the same time, Western countries have stuffed Ukraine with weapons and ammunition, so that it is ready and “waiting for a fight.”
“In eight years, we have experienced probably five such terrible scares—sharp exacerbations and so on. We all know this well; for us this is a routine, standard activity. We have been ready for war for a long time - morally, psychologically, financially, and in all other respects. Well, at least the security forces. If a terrible war breaks out there and the terrible Russians come at us, we will hit them with everything we can. There is complete consensus, everyone is rubbing their hands with pleasure and hoping to fight properly,” said Arestovich.
“The Americans have intensified both military and coordination assistance to us so that we are ready. Because the intensity of contacts with the American, British, French, Polish, Lithuanian military is now just off the charts... The Russians are now throwing this kind of disinformation at us, saying that they are not ready, they need two to four months to create a group, and then they will happily rush off. In reality, I think they are ready for Catholic Christmas,” the adviser believes.
“It’s a very bad sign that they don’t accumulate gas in our storage facilities - everything goes to Germany. There are enough signs that we are indeed in the most difficult situation since '14. And this time it’s not the usual “Putin will attack,” which we have monthly on the 15th, like a salary, but this is very similar to the real “Putin will attack,” said Arestovich.
