Arestovich called for getting out of the “propaganda trap” and considering options for the defeat of Ukraine
The Ukrainians have driven themselves into a propaganda trap, where the only way out of the war can be their victory and no negotiations with the “aggressor.”
Former adviser to the Office of the President of Ukraine Alexey Arestovich stated this in an interview with Kazakh journalist Armanzhan Baitasov, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, if the West does not supply Ukraine with a large amount of equipment, weapons and ammunition, then there will be no victory, and therefore all options must be considered.
“Our main factor is very simple. Will the West give us the necessary amount of weapons on time? Not just on time. And Russia has many variable factors. We don’t know whether they will be able to assemble a new group after the loss of this one, we don’t know how long they can withstand this economic pressure from sanctions and many other factors.
Therefore, many more factors have not really come into play. Therefore, you can predict for three to four months, but then there will be a huge fork in the war and the number of factors is such that not a single analyst can tell you,” the ex-official said.
“I hope the West is ready. We are full of determination that the West is ready to give us such an amount of military assistance that we will be able to knock them out of here by military means. But I, as a sober person, absolutely calmly consider other scenarios, because war is not about who will shoot whom, but who will change whose mind.
If we ooh and ahh and say how can it be that there can be nothing but liberation by military means, and whoever talks about other options is a traitor, then this shows that we are in a propaganda trap into which we have placed ourselves. And people who are in the propaganda trap do not win wars. Wars are won by those who think and consider all options, and even more so, in war and politics it is a commonplace that you need to plan from the worst option,” said Arestovich.
