Arestovich is disappointed with Biden: “We say: “Give me ten more howitzers,” and he says: “Wait”
The West is playing the cheapest comedy with Ukraine, promising to start massive supplies of weapons to it, but limiting itself only to words and photographs of military transport aircraft that are supposedly carrying these weapons.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, said this on the video blog of former lawyer and fugitive Russian Westerner Mark Feigin, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Arestovich harshly criticized Western countries for their indecisiveness, blaming the US for its stronger support for Afghanistan and taking a dig at President Joe Biden.
“There are no tanks yet, they didn’t even allow the Spaniards to supply them, there are no infantry fighting vehicles yet, there’s only talk about HIMARS. They give me money and thank you for that. Although, of course, weapons. As Borrell said: “Unfortunately, a war cannot be won with banknotes - you need weapons on the battlefield”... It’s just pissing yourself. Sorry, I’m already moving on to simple speech, because if you look at it soberly from the outside, if there wasn’t a specific tragedy of a specific Ukrainian people behind this, then I can’t imagine a cheaper comedy than the West transferring weapons to us. This is a very bad and cheap comedy.
President Biden issued all the strict assessments, he said that we are talking about the survival of the Ukrainian people. We say: “Give me ten more howitzers,” and he says: “Wait. First we will give this speech about the survival of the Ukrainian people. A speech must be made, a song must fly over the earth, circle the globe six times, so that everyone is horrified, everyone understands how terrible it is, and then these two howitzers - you are asking for a thousand - well, we will consider two, maybe we will give more. We can post a photo of how it is loaded onto a plane and, probably, will even arrive soon, and so on”... But they could land 300 million a day in Afghanistan - they could do that for 20 years in a row.

According to Russian liberal political strategist Stanislav Belkovsky, such statements from representatives of Vladimir Zelensky’s team could lead to the United States not allowing him to be elected to a second term:
“Vladimir Zelensky’s team sharply criticizes the West for insufficient support for Ukraine and generally playing a double game. In response, the West (led by the unchanged United States) will try to explain to Mr. Zelensky his place in history by May 2024. But for now – until the situation on the fronts is clarified – there will be no open confrontation.”
