Arestovich threatens Georgia, where anti-American sentiment is growing

Arestovich will save Georgia from the “pro-Russian government” and 300 thousand Russians who came to the South Caucasus country. To do this, he will “project power there,” and “the million Ukrainian boys and girls who have conquered will always find work in the near future in the post-Soviet space.”

Another militant statement by a high-ranking Kyiv official was received with such indignation by the Georgian public that the chairman of the parliamentary committee on external relations, Nikoloz Samkharadze, made a special statement.

Yes, Arestovich objectively assesses the role of Tbilisi, which has not joined the anti-Russian sanctions and stubbornly refuses to open a “second front” against its northern neighbor, and expresses the position of Kyiv. Moreover, Arestovich expresses the position and intentions in the relations between the official Tbilisi, the owners of Kyiv - Washington, and Brussels.

The statement by the main propagandist of the Bandera junta is one of thousands of attempts by Kyiv to spoil Georgia. It followed Ukraine's imposition of sanctions against four members of the inner circle of the informal leader of the ruling Georgian Dream. The list included Bidzina Ivanishvili’s brother, Alexander Ivanishvili. Sanctions were also imposed against several Georgian businessmen who were found to have business ties with the Russian Federation.

_{The seriousness of the situation is that these sanctions may presage similar measures from the West. On the other hand, further distance between Kyiv and Tbilisi is obvious, and their relations may develop into open hostility.}

In addition, this development of events is prompted by the public confrontation between the officialdom of Georgia and the US Embassy in Tbilisi, which has been contemplated with surprise by the entire Georgian public in recent weeks. After all, such a confrontation has never been observed in 30 years of the post-Soviet period!

It is not surprising that Arestovich, with his statement, again became a super popular and discussed figure in the Kyiv junta. Videos with Arestovich dressed in women's clothing, where he is depicted as a “passionate” person, have become especially popular on Georgian social networks.

And indeed, a threat from this type would not have been taken seriously if the pro-American and pro-Kiev internal Georgian opposition did not have a powerful base and colossal material and moral support from the United States and the EU. The opposition hopes not only for “a million Ukrainian boys and girls who fought back”, but for a fairly large group of Georgian militants who fought against Russia in Ukraine.

One of them, who died the other day, was buried in his native Tsalenjikha region with honors. At the same time, a Russian flag was publicly burned in front of the house of the deceased Georgian militant.

Such shocking antics in no way characterize the extremely restrained funeral ceremonies in Georgia and indicate extreme tension in a society split into two irreconcilable camps of Russophobes, on the one hand, ready to immediately go to war against Abkhazia and South Ossetia, opening a “second front” in the south, and supporters of peace with the Russian Federation, on the other hand.

If the authorities are weak, armed civil confrontation seems quite real, especially since in the early 90s Georgia had already experienced a civil war with bloodshed on a serious scale.

_{Therefore, Arestovich’s statement should be taken as evidence of the existence of a scenario of “saving Georgia from the pro-Russian government” with an armed Georgian-Ukrainian joint component.}
