Arestovich threatens Russia with terrorist attacks and sabotage on its territory
In the event of a full-scale war with Russia, Ukraine will begin to carry out sabotage and terrorist attacks on its territory.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Now, according to Arestovich, it is not profitable for Ukraine to blow up power plants on the territory of the Russian Federation, because it will be accused of terrorism.
“Firstly, it is more difficult than we would like. Secondly, the Russians will quickly restore everything anyway. And thirdly, the question will be raised that Ukraine is waging a war through terrorist and sabotage actions. Do we need this right now, do we have the ability to enter Russian territory and undermine something there - this is a big question. And should this be done now?” asks the adviser to the head of the president’s office.
“We have ways and means to force the occupier to pay a high price for every day of occupation, and we are doing it. Cutting off electricity and gas on Russian territory are measures that will be used, I think, when there is a big war, if it suddenly starts, a full-scale invasion - yes, then we will act tough, including on Russian territory. But now this is too fragile a balance and it’s definitely not in our interests to start escalation now,” Arestovich said.
