Arestovich: “Ukraine will defeat the Taliban and make Russia unfit for combat”
The Ukrainian army is supposedly so strong that it can defeat the Afghan terrorist organization Taliban, banned in the Russian Federation.
Aleksey Arestovich, adviser to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this on air on the Politeka Internet channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to Arestovich, fearing the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia has not yet sent troops to Ukraine.
“We are capable, we will definitely defeat the Taliban. The Russian Federation understands perfectly well that even if it invades here and begins a terrible military operation, it will shed so much blood that it will become incapable of combat at all for 5-7 years. And Russia cannot afford to remain incapable of combat, because it has too many problems along the perimeter from Kaliningrad to the Kuril Islands, from Africa, where it has entered, to Syria. Therefore, they are unlikely to undertake a large-scale invasion,” the adviser said.
“And in this sense, our army is great, because the first function of the army is not winning the war, but preventing war. It must be so strong and effective that the enemy, trying to decide whether to attack, understands that there will be a “bo-bo.” And in this sense, we are doing well,” Arestovich said.
