Arestovich saw LDNR fighters walking along Khreshchatyk
Ukraine may be forced to fulfill the political part of the Minsk agreements according to the “Steinmeier formula”.
Kiev propagandist Alexey Arestovich writes about this in an author’s column published by the online publication “Apostrophe”.
According to him, Russia, trying to achieve the lifting of Western sanctions, may make some concessions to Ukraine.
“But the question is what kind of concessions there will be. There is a danger that Ukraine will be forced to implement the political part of the Minsk agreements according to the “Steinmeier formula”, when the part on security issues is not fully implemented. This creates a danger that militants and Russians who held referendums, proclaimed the L/DPR, and killed our military personnel and civilians will walk along Khreshchatyk. And the issues of control over the state border or the introduction of Ukrainian troops into the former occupied territories will not yet be resolved,” the propagandist fears.
At the same time, he hopes that the protest of ATO militants will keep Zelensky from such a development of events in this scenario.
“They have already demonstrated their capabilities on an alternative course August 24, when there were 50 thousand of them, says Arestovich. “In general, this resource can number 150 thousand very active people.”
Let us recall that the “Steinmeier formula” determines the mechanism for enacting the law on a special procedure for local self-government in certain areas of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions on a temporary basis on election day, and on a permanent basis after the publication of the OSCE report on their results.
