The authorities of Simferopol must restore order in the external appearance of the Crimean capital.
The architect Alexey Komov said this in his blog, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to him, the restoration of the architecture of Simferopol, as the calling card of the republic, is no less important than the construction of the Crimean Bridge or a new airport in the capital.
“The appearance and structure of the capital of the republic is constantly under the gun of fair criticism. Being the capital is certainly not an easy burden. It is necessary to constantly confirm its capital status - to be the No. 1 city, a real showcase of the region, and not just the center of power and transport transits. To be the flagship of a positive agenda outside the window,” notes the architect.
According to him, Simferopol has become a hostage to the resort image of Crimea.
“For mass visitors, this is an exclusively seasonal distributor that pushes them to the coast like a piston. It is incredibly difficult to understand the heap of unsolvable problems and ruined frameworks of its urban structure, but this is also a political issue that must always be kept in mind. The state of the capital is the level of the Crimean Bridge, the Airport. Aivazovsky and the Tavrida highway, not one iota less,” writes Komov.
