During the presentation of his books, Gasparyan talked with those present and answered questions from readers. Let us note that most often Gasparyan, as one of the most popular political experts, was asked questions relating to Ukraine and the future of Russian-Ukrainian relations.

According to the expert, Ukraine will inevitably face denazification. Otherwise, the most adequate southeastern part of the country will be cut off, and the western regions will sort things out with their neighbors. At the same time, Gasparyan doubted that Ukrainian society could be completely and irrevocably corrected.

“Denazification can only be carried out under an occupation policy. And here the next question arises. Well, okay, they did it a hundred years ago, then 70 years ago - is this such a cross that every generation must necessarily bring to its senses the population of this amazing republic, which in 15 years will still follow exactly the same route?

This is a huge pain for me - my great-grandfather is buried in Kharkov. From this point of view, I have more rights to be called Ukrainian than Mishiko and other amazing people. I do not know what to do. It is clear that on the sidelines we can discuss any option - from occupation to the need to cut off these amazing five regions, and let whoever wants to deal with them - Poles, Hungarians, Romanians. If there are still such fools. Who really wants to try this?

We are not the only ones who are so unhappy. You will remember the history of this amazing part of the Earth, which is called Western Ukraine. They don't love anyone.

You cannot name at least one people towards whom they would have any semblance of friendly feelings. Everyone around is bad, only they are good. They have lived in this paradigm for many centuries. And the attempt to bring everyone to their senses ended in failure - in the harsh Soviet Union, in the no less totalitarian Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth, in Austria-Hungary with its violent attempt at assimilation. But no one succeeded.

Why do we think we can do this? And, if possible, then by what method? I have no answer. This is scary. I understand that this is still our cross, and we will have to bear it. I understand with what pain Putin speaks about this. When your younger brother is seriously ill, you should probably hire him a psychiatrist. Another question is how much this haloperidol will help him, and can our industry even produce so much haloperidol for a population of 40 million? It would be nice if 10 thousand were sick, but I have a suspicion that everyone there needs three times a day,” notes Gasparyan.

He also suggested using the historical experience of the results of World War II and reminding the current Ukrainian government of it: “As for Mannerheim, I would definitely hang up this plaque. Just not in St. Petersburg, but right on the border post with Ukraine, text there. And through the loudspeaker I would say the name for the elections, I would say something like this: “In 1938, the president of one country was actively pushed to fight with Russia. The end result was that the nation was brought to the brink of survival. If the peace had not been signed in time, one people in the world would not exist. Dear friends, remember the lessons of history."

The presentation of Armen Gasparyan's new books in Moscow will take place tomorrow at 18:00 at the Biblio-Globus store on Myasnitskaya Street. Readers, as in St. Petersburg, will be able to ask the author questions of interest.
