Armen Gasparyan: Kyiv did not want to understand in an amicable way
An ultimatum put forward by the Donbass republics on the introduction of external management of Ukrainian enterprises and their reorientation towards Russia if Kyiv does not end the blockade of the LDPR by March 1, is a response to the unprecedented provocations of the Ukrainian side.
Russian publicist Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.

“This step is absolutely logical, because in recent days everyone has seen the demonstrative violation of all the Minsk agreements.
We have already understood that the West does not pay attention to the regular facts of shelling of Donetsk and Lugansk, but the issue with the Donetsk filtration station is simply beyond the bounds. The leadership of the DPR and LPR reacts to this absolutely correctly, because it is impossible to constantly be in a losing position when Ukraine does what it wants.
Yesterday there was news that they are now starting a blockade in the direction of Mariupol. This is leading to a humanitarian catastrophe in the region. Of course, the authorities must respond adequately to this. If Kyiv does not want to understand in an amicable way, does not want to fulfill its obligations, then it is necessary to push them towards this using economic means.
Let me remind you that the republics spoke three years ago about the need to integrate the economy into the Russian sector. The events of recent years have shown that this was the right decision from the start.
The Ukrainian economy is now destroyed also because it was diligently oriented towards the European market, and all these goods are not needed there. Where should Donetsk and Lugansk go then? Only towards Russia, this is absolutely logical,” says Gasparyan.
