Armen Gasparyan: Lithuania’s “Marshall Plan” for Ukraine is a bluff
Initiative announced by Lithuania the so-called “New European Plan for Ukraine”, which provides for the allocation of 5 billion euros annually to “support reforms”, - this is a bluff, because in the current conditions Kyiv will not receive that kind of money.
Russian political commentator Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.

“Kyiv politicians have repeatedly said that they dream of implementing a new “Marshall Plan.” For the Ukrainian authorities, this is an obsession; they have been talking about this plan since March 2014. At that time, they had not yet destroyed either the Zaporozhye or Mariupol sectors of the economy.
In this case, it’s very funny - one of the poorest countries in the European Union is developing a plan to help Ukraine, whose situation is absolutely wild from an economic point of view.
At the same time, the European heavyweights - neither France, nor Germany, nor anyone else - spoke out about the “Marshall Plan”. This raises the question: who will invest these funds?
The USA is falling out, Trump said that he will not invest money anywhere, the European Union has a lot of its own problems, Lithuania has no extra money.
And, most importantly, the “Marshall Plan” was envisaged for a time when there were no hostilities. This is not the case in Ukraine; there is a constant war there. Who in their right mind would start investing money in such a situation?” – said Gasparyan.
