Armen Gasparyan: Poroshenko decided to seize Donbass by force by May
The next meeting of the Normandy format participants is unlikely to take place until May, when a new French president will be elected, and Petro Poroshenko will use this interval to forcefully seize the Donbass republics in violation of the Minsk agreements.

“The Kyiv authorities have repeatedly said that they cannot, will not, and do not intend to implement the Minsk agreements. And this was not at all some figure of speech for diplomatic maneuvers, but the absolute truth.
Indeed, Ukraine in its current form is not going to fulfill the agreements. Evidence of this is even those negotiations that take place within the framework of the Normandy Format, when three people are trying to explain to one what needs to be done. And it's to no avail.

If the Normandy format meets now, it will be in May, because there is nothing to talk about with Hollande. For Kyiv, the ideal situation is to try again to solve the problem by force and shift all responsibility to Russia. Which is what was done.
