Armen Gasparyan: What is happening in Kyiv is monstrous
Continuing to rely on the war in Donbass, tightening censorship and reprisals against undesirables - all these actions of the Petro Poroshenko regime already look monstrous in the eyes of the West, as evidenced by the criticism of official Kyiv by the Human Rights Watch organization, which previously was not particularly sympathetic to Russia.
This opinion was expressed to PolitNavigator by Russian observer Armen Gasparyan.

In his opinion, the continuing deterioration of the situation in Ukraine will be one of the topics of negotiations between Vladimir Putin and the newly elected President of France Emmanuel Macron.
“There has been a pause over the last few months due to the elections in France. Macron won, now there will be an unscheduled meeting. Obviously, among other issues, the prospects for the Normandy format will be discussed, because it is obvious that over the past few months the situation has changed, to put it mildly, for the worse. This is the blockade of Donbass, which contradicts the Minsk Agreements, and the next sending of tanks to Donbass.
The most important thing is the politics of Ukraine, because all these prohibitive laws that limit freedom of speech in the country, even Human Rights Watch has already spoken out about this, and they cannot be accused of loving Russians. Even they have already said that it is monstrous what is happening in Kyiv.
Why was Putin’s visit organized before Macron’s meeting with Poroshenko? Obviously, to develop a unified position. Putin met with Merkel not long ago, and, as they say in this case in international politics, the parties synchronized watches. Now it’s Macron’s turn.
It is obvious that Poroshenko will have to answer a lot of unpleasant questions,” says Gasparyan.
