Armen Gasparyan: The danger of Ukrainian provocations in Donbass is increasing
After the US missile strike on Syria, the danger of Ukrainian provocations in the Donbass increases.
Russian political commentator Armen Gasparyan told PolitNavigator about this.
“The day before, as you know, Mr. Poroshenko demanded that Russia be removed from the permanent members of the UN Security Council. Once again, in a rather boorish manner, he addressed not only the president of the country, but, in fact, the entire population.
I fully admit that what happened in Syria will be used by Ukrainian radicals, including to aggravate the situation in Donbass. They have a formal good reason - this is some kind of consolidation of the world community around the United States. True, the international community in this case is represented by Great Britain and France.
The current Ukrainian authorities, as we know, are always trying to play this card, so, unfortunately, the danger that they will try to implement this scenario in Donbass exists.
Moreover, in American circles, at their instigation, and in Ukraine, many say that if Russia is occupied with Syria today, then there will not be enough resources, so the issue can be resolved in the Donbass.
But this would be a very stupid mistake by Ukraine from this point of view. It may well turn out that it will become fatal,” Gasparyan said.
