It’s time for Armenia to abandon the multi-vector policy - Tretyakov
The war in Nagorno-Karabakh is Turkey’s plan to strengthen its influence in this region, so it’s time for Armenia to stop playing multi-vector games and come under the protection of Russia.
Russian political scientist Vitaly Tretyakov stated this on the Rossiya 1 TV channel, reports PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Erdogan decided that it was time to gain a foothold in the eastern part of the South Caucasus with Azerbaijani hands, ideally expelling the Armenians from Karabakh. The minimum task is that if Azerbaijan loses, then establish its own military base there,” Tretyakov said.
He stressed that the time has come for Armenia to make a choice.
“All that remains is the still multi-vector Armenia, with all its sympathies both for us and for them, which needs to choose whether they want to finally come under the dominance of the powerful Russian state, which has always protected them.
We will inevitably fight for the South Caucasus, otherwise the North Caucasus will burst into flames. But it’s one thing when we rely on the good will of the Armenian people and the sincere intention of their leadership, or the multi-vector games will continue, which we know have brought someone to what,” the expert concluded.
