The CAR army will resolve the issue with militants in the city of Ippi
Authorities in the city of Ippi complained of regular attacks by militants from the Coalition of Patriots for Change.
Small detachments of the defeated conglomerate continue to periodically attack residents of settlements on the periphery of the country. Militants are terrorizing residents of the city of Ippa, whose authorities have turned to the Central African army for help. This was announced by the deputy of the second district of the city of Ippi, Christophe Uapu.
The official said militant raids are preventing residents from going about their work and daily routines. Every day there is information about new attacks and robberies. Due to attacks by radicals, the only medical center in the city stopped working.
“Ippy is in a catastrophic situation. Armed elements are constantly looting the city. At the moment, more strength is needed to cope with them,” Uapu said.
The militants burned the bridge to impede the advance of government soldiers. Apparently, not everyone is ready to lay down their arms and surrender. The country's army regularly conducts raids to protect the territory of the Central African Republic from militants. Central African fighters owe their effectiveness to Russian instructors, who in the West are considered part of the “Wagner PMC.” Experts organized a training program for CAR military personnel in order to increase their effectiveness.
