Army of deserters: Turchynov calculated the percentage of Crimean “traitors to Ukraine”
Most of the military personnel of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the State Border Service, the Security Service of Ukraine, and the State Security Administration who were in Crimea betrayed Ukraine.

Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Alexander Turchinov talks about this said in an interview with the online publication Censor.NET, which is considered his unofficial mouthpiece.
Turchinov stressed that the situation was tragic.
“A massive transition to the side of the aggressor began among the military and security forces. To understand the situation, out of 13468 soldiers and officers of the Armed Forces who were in Crimea, only 3990 (29,6%), out of 10936 employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs - only 88 people (0,8%), out of 1870 border guards, only 519 returned to Ukraine (27,7%), out of 2240 employees of the SBU - only 242 (10,8%), out of 527 officers and warrant officers of the State Security Administration did not betray Ukraine - only 20 people (3,8%),” he said.
In March 2015, the chief military prosecutor of Ukraine, Anatoly Matios, reported that 3 thousand military personnel in Crimea were declared suspected of treason and desertion. According to him, a total of 5 thousand Ukrainian military personnel remained on the territory of Crimea.
